SPT: 100 Things About Me (or maybe just 1 thing...)

#7: I prefer the smell of liquid Tide to any perfume.

"L'eau du Tide"

I have a very acute sense of smell, and most perfumes give me mind-bending migraines. But when I take my fresh laundry out of the washing machine, I bury my nose in it and inhale.

Yes. I smeared liquid Tide on my wrist for this photo. And yes. I kept it there all day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is Lelly's SPT challenge this week (go do it!):
"This month, we will consult our 100 lists. it's quite simple, really. On the 7th of the month (TOMORROW) post an spt about item #7 on your list. On the 14th of the month, post an spt about item #14. and so on. and so on."
My "100 Things About Me" list is still in progress. I got
bored after #22.
Go here to everyone else's SPT for this week.
You are so unique!! I'm allergic to Tide so if we ever do meet, I'll have to remind you to hold off on using your domestic perfume. This reminds me that I need to finish my list.
I'm with you, tide is a GREAT smell. I don't know that I would go out on the town covered in it, but hey whatever floats your boat huh? You are darling Crystal.
I hear ya! LOVE that stuff!!
They should market the clean laundry smell--you are on to something here. I'm not a Tide girl(head hung in shame), but I might have to try it since I keep hearing raves. And you wore it on your wrist.
Keep plugging away on your 100 things--but take breaks when needed. :)
Ah, Crystal! I swear, we are soul mates. Kindred spirits. :) I love the smell of Tide. Have you smelled the new Downy stuff? Oh my goodness, there is one kind that smells SO incredible that I always bury my nose in the clothes as soon as they come out of the dryer. :) YUM!
I went back to my 100 list and it says: I love the smell of clorox wipes and windex...that's so funny how we both love the smell of different cleaning products!!!!
Ha Ha Ha I love the smell of Tide too. However never thought to use it as perfume... We spilled some downy in the trunk a month ago and the whole car still smells great so maybe we are onto a new Automobile Airfreshener too. LOL
I love that you love your Tide so much. You should be in a commercial!
Have you ever seen that gain commercial where a husband and wife have to go to a convenience store on the middle of the night because the wife has a craving to sniff the Gain laundry detergent? This reminded me of that. ;)
You are hilarious. Do you think I could smear cookie dough on my wrist and have that be my signature scent?
I do not have an acute sense of smell, but perfume gives me headaches too. And I LOVE Tide. Love it. Just last night I was doing laundry and had to stop and sniff every t-shirt before folding.
Great self-portrait!
I'm still trying to get around to doing this post.
I'm the same way. Can't get near perfume without my head exploding, but love Tide and Downy.
My Anniversary was 4 years ago was my ... *gasp* first kiss. :) It was kinda exciting. :) I'm reading the Chronicles of Narnia, so I got to read the fourth one, or at least parts of it. It was nice to read for fun. I hope you're doing well! Give Jack a feather sniffing for me!
I think you and I may have been separated at birth!! I'm so with you on this from the mind-bending headaches to the smelling the laundry as you transfer it from the machine to the dryer. Great photo too!
Ok miss popular! You just barly posted this and already have 25 comments! Sheesh! I guess that you can't help that everyone is so drawn to you...maybe it is because of how you smell? LOL
I love that smell too! Can we get together sometime?
I'm almost thinking by your picture you might be also looking for a load of laundry to do? I buy tide coupon or not! I love the smell but hate the work!
kim said...
I don't have to do laundry -- yankee makes a "clean laundry" scented candle :o).
You really went all out with this one to smear tide on you, but I agree I like Tide, too and i don't use any perfume.
I am right there with you! It is heavenly.
ditto.
although now I have to use the free & clear stuff because we have some sensitive skin issues in our household. Tide reminds me of when I was first married.
P.S. I still use dreft on my kids laundry and they're 8, 5 and almost 2. I'm a sucker for that smell!
