Christ-Centered Christmas, Day 6

reflectionsofchrist.org

“For each of you may this be a merry Christmas. But more importantly, I wish for each of you a time, perhaps only an hour, spent in silent meditation and quiet reflection on the wonder and the majesty of this, the Son of God. Our joy at this season is because He came into the world. The peace that comes from Him, His infinite love which each of us may feel, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for that which He freely gave us at so great a cost to Himself--these are of the true essence of Christmas.” Gordon B. Hinckley, Liahona, Dec. 2000.

I love that you are doing this Crystal, way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. I know I need to be better with showing my kids this. It's so sad that we get caught up in the hustle and bustle, when we should be caught up in our Savior. Thanks

I love the Reflections of Christ thing. They brought the actual pictures up to my institute here at USU. It was SUCH a wonderful experience. My friend and I both left crying. :) And what a sweet picture of all the littles!

I have seen your blog for a few days, so it was fun to catch up. I must thank you for posting the talk by Elder Holland about Angels among us....it is strange that I would read that today of all days (read my new post and you will understand). I LOVE the picture of the kids with the suckers! How cute! Hey, I am still waiting for your address so that I can send you a card.

How great would it be if everyone actually took an hour of time to sit and reflect on Christ's birth, life and death? The hustle and bustle of the holidays can be enjoyable, but it drowns out the peaceful, truth of why we really celebrate Christmas. I am going to make time to think about this. Thanks for the quote!
