"Giving, not getting, brings to full bloom the Christmas spirit. Friends are remembered, and God obeyed. The spirit of Christmas illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things. To catch the real meaning of the 'Spirit of Christmas,' we need only drop the last syllable, and it becomes the 'Spirit of Christ.' "
~from the LDS First Presidency Christmas Message, December 2008, full message here.
Activity: Attend a live nativity together. If that isn't possible, make easy gingerbread houses.
Scripture: The Lamanite prophet Samuel prophesied to the wicked Nephites about Christ’s birth and death in Helaman 14.

Where did you get your copy of that movie?
I'm giving several gifts of service for Christmas this year.
I love that sentence. Friends are remembered, and God obeyed. I need to remember this every day.
Thank you so much for all these great ideas! You are the best♥
We plan to watch The Muppet Christmas Carol this weekend--can't wait!
I'm also going to (finally) print out the nativity from the link you posted a few (several?) days ago for Annelise and I to put together.
We missed the walk through Bethlehem that we usually go to due to crummy weather and the fact we are wimps.
