"That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to the end of town...For no particular reason I just kept on going. I ran clear to the ocean. And when I got there, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well turn around, just keep on going. When I got to another ocean, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well just turn back, keep right on going."
I am a Forrest Gump type of runner! I've been reading all these blogs where amazing women are diligently tracking their marathon training, gathering their supplies the night before for the big 18-miler long run, packing the "goo" and the water and chafing vaseline and I'M GETTING A COMPLEX!!! I've always thought of myself as a runner because 1) it's my favorite form of exercise and 2) it's my favorite way to be in solitude and think. But I'm beginning to realize that there are runners (me) and then there are runners.
I'm not training for any single thing. I don't have a long run or a short run mapped out. I just start to run wherever sounds pretty that day. I run "for no particular reason."
"Hmmm...I'll think I'll go here. (run run run) Now I want to go THERE. (run run run) I guess since I've gone this far, I might as well run to the end of the irrigation path (run run run).
Run, Crystal, Run!

i am going to run and get forrest gump. i want to see it again now! the asian nail clip is my favorite tho.
Love the commentary. I totally relate. I like running too. I suppose it's one of my favorite forms of exercise. But I have no intention of ever running a marathon. It would make me too tired. =)
Funny thing about my running is that I AM training for something, but I rarely have a plan, enough water, no goo, etc. I'm sure I'll survive, but if I was a better planner I'd probably even do well. Oh well, long live the road!
what a great sentiment. i think its great to run wherever the road or whimsy takes you. sometimes taking things too seriously can take the joy out of it. keep enjoying the journey
Passing thru (via Anne or Chloe)...
