Today's assignment: Something(s) I can't live without.Absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt.....CHAPSTICK. THIS chapstick. I go seriously twitchy if I don't have creamy, smooth, slickery, greased-up lips.
If I couldn't go running, I would be on prozac. Or meth. Or valium. You get the idea. This little number is slim enough to fit in your pocket or purse. Hey! Get your mind outta the gutter! It's a book lite. Essential to my daily life. Or nightlife. I use it every night to get to sleep whilst reading.
I really didn't expect to list this one, but I use my computer every day! Dozens of times every day, to be more embarrassingly accurate. So onto the list it goes!
Now for the stuff I really couldn't do without; the stuff essential to my very being.
The temple. Although I don't go daily (!) I couldn't live without the temple. At times (especially as a busy mom of 3), this is my only haven of sanctuary. The peace I find here is a true solace.
My Savior. I am thankful to have the knowledge that He guides me and speaks to me. I have felt the love and almost tangible presence of the Holy Spirit and of Jesus Christ when in my darkest, most needful hour. Thank goodness for the gospel and for a Heavenly Father who loves me. (and you!)
What, oh what, would I do without Mike? I have a good man. It has been an unexpected blessing to watch our relationship strengthen throughout our current trials.
(I have no idea where Max was when this picture was taken. Weird. And we're at Disneyland. Even weirder.)
Of course I couldn't do without my kids! They're so closely tied to my identity that they're just simply a part of me. A mother's love is the most intense, most fierce kind of love.

Great post--love the self portait.
That was a great list - I'm there with you on the chapstick (gotta have lipstuff and lotion every night before bed or I can't sleep). Running - yeah, I gave that up years ago. Family, Christ, the Temple...Gotta have 'em all!
Beautifully put, you really are blessed to have such a cute little family and to be so passionate about. . .chapstick :) I love it! I'm sold on the book light, I've been wearing one on my head.
I need my lips soft and lucious too. i've never tried avon though. i will have to find someone who sells it! i love your list!
Crystal, you are truly a beautiful person. I love the Disneyland picture. You can see such happiness in your eyes!!
Great post! I am with you on all those things but the running. I'm actually a biker, road bike.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love meeting new people.
Great list ... but I can live without running! I quit running in high school, now i only 'run' after kids!
Great list! I'm with ya on most of the stuff on it too! Especially the chapstick! I love Burt's Bees though, can't get enough of it! And what beauties your kids are!
Found you through Matchbox mommy...
And where are the sprinkles?
Sprinkles almost made it to the list, but since they are not in daily use I didn't throw them in. When I DO use them, though, I go a little crazy.
Halloween cookie sprinkle post coming soon.
