"Like the wise men from the east, we too must travel a great distancein order to come unto Christ, the Light of the World. No matter--He waits for us "with open arms" (Mormon 6:17). May Christmas cause us deeper contemplation and deeper determination to complete that journey, the journey of journeys--in order to experience that resplendent rendezvous."
~Elder Neal A Maxwell, "The Christmas Scene," 12
Activity: Learn a Christmas hymn (or primary song) to sing as a family. My favorite Christmas primary Christmas song is "Stars Were Gleaming."
Scripture: On the eve of Christ’s birth, the prophet Nephi prayed in behalf of his people who were about to be slain by the wicked. Read the Lord’s response and the fulfillment of the prophet Samuel’s prophecy in 3 Nephi 1:9-22.

Crystal! It was soooo good to see you today. :) I've missed your face!
Your Christ-Centered Christmas posts have been a highlight of my Christmas this year. Thank you for the time you spent creating them, and then allowing me to enjoy them. You are truely an inspiration Crystal - someone I would like to model myself after. I hope you had a Merry Christmas this year with your sweet family. Love you friend!

Hello, hello! I can't keep up with the songs our children come home from school with in the weeks leading up to Christmas. It's so hard when you hear snippets of lines of things that seem entirely new, but the girls just adore that Christmas is totally about a BABY! Hope you had a good New Year's Eve, Crazy Lady, and all the v.best for 2010! xx
