Mimi's Family Party

The day after her Princess Party, Mimi woke up bright & early on her REAL birthday (9/20) and we went to Annette's for a Birthday Haircut. Isn't it cute? Mimi twirled and flitted around all day, feeling beautiful.
We opened presents that evening with just our little family.
Here is Isabelle feigning excitement as Mimi opens Barbie clothes. (I'd asked Isabelle beforehand to be really fun for Mimi, even though the presents wouldn't seem fun to her. Isabelle is not into Barbies or dolls or dress up.)

Look at her expression as she opens the pretty tea set that Grannie gave her.
She loves it!
After presents we went bowling.
Check out Isabelle's intensity.

Max looks like a pro!

Later that night I found Mimi like this. She's climbed into her princess ensemble and begun a tea party with her doll & Island Princess Barbie. We've had a tea party at lunchtime every day since.

i love looking at the birthday pictures! mimi does love her birthday so much. she was having so much fun. i felt very bad i was not there those days. i loved her haircut! and seeing her receive her tea set and - finally! - the island princess barbie! but - i do NOT think sis is feigning excitement at all! that is obviously REAL excitement. that was a cute cabbage patch doll she got too. was that her family present? now what will santa bring? sis looks so cute bowling in her dress.

the pictures of the girls reading their bedtime scriptures were darling. where are sissy's dolls? don't they get their scriptures???

that's so much fun!!! Thanks for the fun ideas! I really appreciate it. I love how girly she is. Reminds me of my Janie. She's so funny about things like that...everything pretty & pink.

I can't believe how big your kids are getting! It's insane! Regarding our house--It appraises at $745,000. We're selling it for $670,000 if someone can close before we have to refi in Oct. which is a steal (smaller homes in the neighborhood have sold for a lot more). We designed the floorplan with an architect in Bountiful. We saw some of the homes they designed in the SLC Parade of Homes, and were impressed. However, we would never use them again, as their engineering was a nightmare for us. Luckily my brother-in-law, who is also our builder, knew the right people who could take care of the problems! sorry for the long comment--but you asked!! :)
