"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."
- John Muir

I'm suspecting that going on a run twice in a day is slightly overkill, but this afternoon I needed nature's peace to flow into me. I drove to my secret running path up the canyon, as seen in the first two pictures. The last two pictures are from the drive on the way down. Not bad for a phone camera!
(p.s. my legs hurt.)

Once again, you're my hero!! While you were out running I was making treats & then eating the whole pan by myself!!
Speaking of treats...Can I come by and "BOO" you? I had to take my boo treats to people in the neighborhood & I'm making some good stuff for my sister in laws school bake sale. I was hoping I could come by & boo you & Wendi.
Oh & I LOVE your quote. We used to go to Muir woods in Northern California all the time when I was little. It's BEAUTIFUL there!
WOW! What beautiful pictures. Almost makes me want to go running---ALMOST!! HEEHEE
I totally miss living so close to that awesome canyon! I'm so jealous! I'm also jealous that you are able to run so much. After 3 knee surgeries, my knees don't let me do too much running anymore, and I SOOOO miss it!!!
I need nature's peace to flow into me too! But it's so cold outside, and I don't remember Forrest Gump doing treadmills!
Okay here goes comment #3. I haven't heard from Wendi today. My email is katealger125@earthlink.net
I wouldn't post my info either! Freak magnet or not...HOpe to hear from ya, I made you GOOD stuff!!

Love the quote. So true about how peaceful things are up there. Whether on foot or on a bike it is wonderful. I'll post about my day later. Right now I'm resting ;).
